Tickets for the celebrity filled event are reportedly being offered at bargain rates.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Tickets for the NBA All-Star game in Dallas this weekend are reportedly being offered at bargain rates. As reported by WFAA-TV, the demand for the tickets is significantly lower than usual, which has spurned a number of online sellers to offer them at discounted prices.
P.J. Perdaems, a spokesperson for online ticket broker StubHub, is quoted in the report as stating of the matter, “The average ticket price has been coming down… You can sit down for 122 bucks, which for an All-Star game — you’re looking at the numbers — is unheard of.”
As noted in the report, space availability has led to more tickets becoming available for sale, which is another purported contributing factor for the lower costs. NBA executive Ski Austin is further quoted as stating, “That gave us a great opportunity — along with the Mavericks and the Cowboys as our partners — to invite more people to the game; allow more people to participate; at price points that typically aren’t available to major sporting events.”
