Spring break goers see a rise in gas prices just in time for celebrations.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – A rise in gas prices has seemed to coincide with the spring break plans of locals. As reported by NBC DFW News, drivers are finding themselves requiring extra gas money for road trips as prices in Texas increase.
Dan Ronan of AAA Texas is quoted in the report as stating of the change, “We’re going through this time of the year when we transition to the summer blend gas… That adds a nickel or a dime.”
As noted in the report, despite the gas price spike, travel is expected to increase as the summer draws near. Ronan is further quoted in the report as stating of the matter, “We started to see that last toward the end of the year… Christmas was pretty good, Thanksgiving was pretty good. We’re hopeful that as the economy improves, we’ll start to see that same trend.”
