A recent photo spread of the family friendly characters is reportedly too racy for studios.
Los Angeles (WiredPRNews.com) – A recent photo spread depicting characters from the family-friendly movie Shrek is reportedly too racy for studios behind the animated film. As reported by Reuters, the spread in Vman magazine will feature the characters in its summer edition, which will be available April 20, posing with scantily clad models. The publication will reportedly be released a day prior to the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Shrek Forever After,” the third film in the franchise.
A spokesperson for Paramount is quoted by Reuters as stating of the photo spread, “While we do respect Vman’s creative vision, the shoot did not turn out the way originally envisioned when the idea was first presented by the magazine… In hindsight, we would have declined to include the Shrek characters in such a magazine spread.”
