The social networking site emphasizes branding in the changes made to user profiles.
New York (WiredPRNews.com) – Facebook is reportedly making changes to its website for branding of businesses and others. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the site will begin prompting users to link to pages of musicians, sports players, and other notable figures, activities, or interests that may peak their interests.
As noted in the report, names of users who become fans of pages will be included among the list of users who “like” the profile subject as well as home towns and other characteristics. In addition to the brand and brand page changes, Facebook is also making community pages available for people to share their likes of other things such as sleeping in or food types. New privacy controls and options related to their connections will also reportedly be introduced.
