John Ware, a former city manager of Dallas passed away on Sunday.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – John Ware, a former Dallas city manager has reportedly died. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Ware, 62, passed away on Sunday after a long-term battle with multiple myeloma, a condition he was diagnosed with 16 years ago.
As noted in the report, Ware, a war veteran and founder of 21st Century Group along with partners HM Capital, continued public service and political work after he left City Hall in 1998. He served as chair of the Texas Resources for Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment Fund, which assists members of the military and their families in North Texas, in 2007. Ware is quoted in the report as stating, “When we are deploying troops, it’s more than those individuals who are being impacted… The family members they leave behind are being impacted.”
Ware is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons, and a grandson.
