Oil spill anticipated to take days to stop

President Barack Obama warned on Sunday that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico could take several days to stop.

Venice, La (WiredPRNews.com) – President Barack Obama met with those affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill that followed an April 20th explosion, while visiting southern Louisiana this week. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the president stated the spill, which is purportedly leaking an estimated 210,000 gallons of crude oil into the Gulf daily, may take several days to stop.

Obama is quoted as stating of the ecological disaster following a briefing while in Venice, Louisiana, “We’re going to do everything in our power to protect our natural resources, compensate those who have been harmed, rebuild what has been damaged and help this region persevere like it has done so many times before.”
