New York (WiredPRNews.com) – “Golden Girls” star Betty White brought laughs to Saturday Night Live this weeking, as she hosted the show’s special Mother’s Day edition. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), White, 88, was a hit with audiences after being chosen by Facebook users to host the program.
White, who appeared in most of the program’s skits for the night, is quoted by the AP as joking of the social networking site in which a half a million users showed support for her as host following her Snicker’s commercial that first aired during the SuperBowl, When I first heard about the campaign to get me to host ‘Saturday Night Live,’ I didn’t know what Facebook was… Now that I DO know what it is, I have to say: It seems like a huge waste of time.”
