Langley, Arkansas – The search for several people who disappeared from a camp ground following a flash flood in Arkansas continued on Saturday until approximately 8:00 in the evening. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), search teams found only two bodies during their frantic efforts.
Graig Cowart, the pastor of the Pilgrim Rest Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, is quoted by the AP as stating of frustration that ensued from loved ones waiting to hear word about those missing, “They’re just devastated. The time for shock has probably gone and now it’s just anxiety building. They’re beginning to fear the worst.”
As noted in the report, 18 people, including six children were purportedly killed in the flood, and 22 remain missing. Search crews are reportedly expected to continue their efforts Sunday morning.
