Washington, D.C. – The latest installment in the “Real Housewives” series is set to include Michaele Salahi, who became infamous for crashing the first state dinner of President Barack Obama. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the Bravo network announced Tuesday that Salahi will be a member of the cast of the show to premiere on Aug. 5. Filming had reportedly begun prior to Salahi and her husband garnering widespread attention for their attendance at the event.
Bravo’s top programming executive Andy Cohen is quoted by the AP as stating of the decision to keep Salahi as part of the “Housewives” D.C. cast, “It was a long, engaged process…There were many, many serious conversations. I think when everyone sees the show they’ll agree it was the right thing.”
