Washington – The budget chief for the current administration is reportedly set to resign. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Peter Orszag is planning to step down from his position as White House Office of Management and Budget Director.
As noted in the report, the time frame for Orszag, to make his departure is not yet known, but is speculated to be in the months ahead.
As further noted by the AP, Orszag served as director of the Congressional Budget Office prior to his obtaining his current position. He was also an assistant to the president for economic policy as well as a senior adviser at the National Economic Council during the Clinton administration.
The 41 year-old is the youngest person to currently serve on President Barack Obama’s cabinet.
