WINDERMERE, Fla. – An unfinished mansion that has thirteen bedrooms and twenty-three bathrooms, but no flooring or interior walls, is on sale for $75 million. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the pricey Florida mansion has been deemed the country’s largest home for sale, but the finishing of it depends on the buyer.
As noted in the report, the home also boasts twenty garages, three pools, a baseball field, and other features. It can be purchased finished for $100 million. Florida real estate analyst Jack McCabe is quoted by the AP as stating of the home, “This mansion is a great anecdote of the overconsumption that led to the housing bust, and it might be the poster child of such overindulgence.”
Carol Ann Hewitt, who has listings for high-end homes in Windermere for Oxford Realty, is further quoted as stating, “It’s going to take a very unique kind of buyer to purchase the property…I’m not going to say it’s impossible, but it could take a while.”
