Washington – A recall was announced Thursday by the Agriculture Department for one of Campbell Soup Co.’s popular canned spaghetti products. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs has been recalled due to a malfunction at a Paris, Texas plant. The issue with a cooker at the plant led to meat becoming undercooked; however no illnesses or consumer complaints had yet to be reported at the time of the AP report according to the company and the USDA. Included in the recall are SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs, and SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars), and other products manufactured between December 2008 and June 2010.
As noted in the report, consumers may call Campbell’s Hotline at (866) 495-3774 for questions pertaining to the recall.
