Washington – Those with ideas on fixing the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico may have a chance to turn it into profit. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the X Prize Foundation is seeking to hold a competition to award someone with a viable solution for fixing the oil spill a multimillion dollar prize.
As noted in the report, the foundation prizes are typically presented in the sum of $10 million or more. Francis Beland, vice president of the foundation, is noted by the AP to state 35,000 unsolicited ideas for fixing the disaster have already been submitted to the group.
