Coppell, Texas – Notes left by Coppell Mayor Jayne Peters following the deaths of she and her daughter have been released. As reported by MyFoxDFW.com, police released four notes on Friday that Peters wrote prior to killing her 19 year-old daughter Corinne, and then herself.
As noted in the report, the notes were left on the front door, in the kitchen area, and on an upstairs bathroom door in the family’s home. The bodies of Peters and her daughter were found in the home July 13. Peters’ husband passed away in 2008 after a battle with cancer. She reportedly had financially difficulty following his death.
The note found at the front door is quoted in the report as reading,
“To our First Responders:
Here’s the key for the front door.
I am so very sorry for what you’re about discover.
Please forgive me.
