Arlington, Texas – Hundreds of people showed up at an audition in Arlington to tryout for Season 11 of the reality show “The Biggest Loser,” on which overweight contestants compete in a weight loss challenge for a monetary prize. As reported by the Star-Telegram, approximately 500 people lined up Saturday at the Rangers Ballpark for the casting call, with some noting it was an opportunity to make significant changes in their lives as well as inspire others.
Louis Constancio of Lubbock is quoted in the report as stating of the opportunity, “I don’t want to just lose weight. This is about so much more… I want to be an inspiration to the Hispanic community, which is struggling with an obesity epidemic.”
“The Biggest Loser” airs on NBC.
