Paris, Texas – A local nonprofit is seeking donations to supply students in Lamar County with needed backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year. The EIS (Everybody Is Somebody) Center is implementing its first “Back to the School Yard” program to help prepare area students for school success by providing them with needed resources.
EIS founder Danielle Twitty says of the need for the backpack drive and the organization in the city, which has made national headlines for social and academic issues, “I tell my kids all the time, don’t make excuses make solutions. As a people we need to teach our children how to build themselves up and be there for one another. With our programs, we’re aiming to build up what may have been torn down and ensure the kids are on a level playing field.”
The EIS Center for Learning is an organization created to enrich the lives of students and their families by providing services designed to promote self-improvement and self-awareness through education, community involvement, and social services. The newly formed organization’s projects are designed to assist families in Paris, Texas.
