ATLANTA, GEORGIA (WiredPRNews.com) – In an effort to help healthcare clients reduce hospital acquired infections (HAIs) Layfield Services has begin implementing their new LEV System in all healthcare facilities. The core element of the LEV system is a triple HEPA-filtered vacuum that removes dust, which contain bacteria, and other particulate matter from the floors and horizontal surfaces.
The LEV System calls for wet mopping floors using microfiber mop heads pre-soaked in water and disinfectant. Even more important is the efforts to prevent cross contamination. Microfiber mop heads are switched every 1-2 rooms versus conventional hospital housekeeping which only calls for mop heads to be changed every 3-4 rooms. The LEV System also uses pre-soak microfiber cleaning cloths that are changed after every room.
“We invest heavily on educating & training our staff and also implementing new systems. Systems that not only significantly improve quality but also better service our clients. Our management’s vast experience in hospital housekeeping and Fortune 500 companies allow us to create new standards for healthcare cleaning while becoming very competitive in the marketplace,” said Terry Layfield, President of Layfield Services.
Layfield Services believes that removing dust and particulate matter is an important part of infection control. The LEV System has become a standard for all healthcare facilities Layfield Services has partnered with.
