Leeds joinery firm bags top prize from Slingsby

A Leeds-based joinery firm has won a top prize after shopping at a new trade counter opened last month by workplace products specialist Slingsby.

Sterling Joinery has been awarded a brand new netbook computer after winning a prize draw run by Slingsby to mark the opening of its new trade outlet which is now operating out of the firm’s headquarters on Otley Road in Baildon, West Yorkshire.

The trade counter which was set up in response to demand from customers in the West Yorkshire area and it is already being used by businesses from a huge range of industries. It offers a considerable number of items from Slingsby’s catalogue of 35,000 products, such as plastic storage boxes, steps and health and safety signs, allowing companies to quickly get their hands on the products they need to run their own businesses successfully.

Lee Wright, Slingsby marketing director, said since it opened two months ago the trade counter has been incredibly popular with businesses in the area that need access to Slingsby’s products fast.

He said: “It is attracting a large number of new customers and, because they don’t need an account to use it, we organised this competition to help us find out more about the customers using the facility.

“In addition, offering prizes such as this is a great way of thanking our customers for their support and we were delighted to be able to present Sterling Joinery with this netbook computer.”

The trade counter is open weekdays between 8.30am and 4.30pm, and customers using it will continue to benefit from special offers and discounts.
