Palo Alto, California – Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently discussed changes to the site that are designed to provide an easier means of sharing updates and sorting friends. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Zuckerberg unveiled the changes during a press conference this week.
As noted in the report, one of the changes makes it easier for users to group friends and other connections without having to make lists, instead grouping pages based on interests and other characteristics. The tool will also allow users to share information with only members of select groups as well as hold chat room meetings, or plan events with them online. Zuckerberg is stated in the report to assert that the “groups” feature will touch 80 percent of the users of the site.
