Los Angeles – Actor Tom Bosley has died at age 83. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Bosley, whose most memorable role was that of Howard Cunningham on the long running sitcom “Happy Days,” passed away Tuesday after reportedly suffering heart failure.
As noted in the report, Bosley’s agent, Sheryl Abrams, also stated that the star had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Ron Howard, who played son to Bosley’s “Happy Days” character, Richie Cunningham, is quoted by the AP as releasing the statement about the late star, “Tom’s insight, talent, strength of character and comic timing made him a vital central figure in the ‘Happy Days’ experience. A great father and husband, and a wonderful artist, Tom led by example, and made us all laugh while he was doing it.”
Howard is further quoted as stating, “My last conversations with Tom reflected the love of life and peace of mind that he always maintained throughout his full and rewarding life. I miss him already.”
