Los Angeles – Mel Gibson is no longer set to make an appearance in “The Hangover 2.” As reported by Reuters, the controversial actor was cut from the film following objections from the cast and crew members.
Todd Phillips, director of the film, is quoted in the report as stating of the decision to withdraw the offer for Gibson to appear in the sequel to the box office hit, “The Hangover” in a joint statement with Warner Bros, “I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of (the studio)… But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew.”
As noted in the report, “The Hangover” earned over $467 million at box offices worldwide.
