Boston, MA (WiredPRNews.com) Crooner Brian Evans and Charlie Sheen hung out a bit backstage in Boston during Sheen’s April 12th Agganis Arena appearance. Evans was in Boston to deal with his song “At Fenway,” which is being worked on for The Boston Red Sox. Evans is also recording under producer Narada Michael Walden (who also produced the “At Fenway” song).
Evans gifted Sheen with a 1956 Topps Ted Williams card realizing Sheen was a fan of the player. Says Evans, “I told Charlie I wanted him to have the card. I dig knowing that it is no longer in my safe because Charlie Sheen now has it,” laughs Evans. “Charlie Sheen is completely opposite of the way he is portrayed in the media. He was appreciative of every little thing in a way you wouldn’t expect. A total class act who handles the media storm around him with incredible stamina and ease.”
Evans, who has returned to Maui, produces The Maui Celebrity Series (www.mauicelebrityseries.com). He opens for the likes of Jay Leno in Las Vegas, and is also involved in the creation of a graphic novel series entitled “Horrorscope” with Ahmet Zappa.
Evans and William Shatner will perform on New Years Eve this year at The Maui Theatre. The two will perform a duet of “Rocketman,” the first time Shatner has ever performed the song as a duet live.
