Englewood, NJ ( Arts Horizons, one of the largest non-profit arts-in-education organizations bringing quality arts programming to New York City and New Jersey public schools, hospital pediatric wings, and community centers, is having its Annual “Broadway Salutes Arts Horizons,” Gala Fundraiser on Monday, October 24th at the Edison Ballroom, 240 West 47th Street in New York.

This year’s honorees are Grammy award-winning, world renowned violin virtuoso Joshua Bell, who will receive the Paul Newman Award for Services to the Arts and Children, and will give a special performance that evening. Academy Award-winning actress and Arts Horizons Chairman Emeritus Celeste Holm, will receive the Arts Horizons Outstanding Achievement Award; and Brian Duperreault, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., will receive the Celeste Holm Humanitarian Award. Marc Summers, host of the Food Network’s Unwrapped, and the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare, is this year’s Master of Ceremonies.

“Our leaders of the future depend on strong role models like this year’s Gala honorees, who can encourage and inspire them to aim high, make goals and follow their dreams,” said Elizabeth Halverstam, Executive Director of Arts Horizons. “Research consistently shows that exposing children to the arts, teaches them to think creatively, make the right life choices, and succeed in the challenging work environment of the 21st Century. Our three honorees this year, representing music, the performing arts, and American industry, are all at the top of their fields, and represent the varied avenues of endeavor that our young people can choose on their own paths to success.”

“Broadway Salutes Arts Horizons” commences at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 24th, with a cocktail reception, dinner and a silent and live auction featuring a variety of unique experiences and exciting items including a guitar signed by Paul Simon, who was last year’s Paul Newman Award winner. The evening’s entertainment includes a Capoeira dance presentation performed by Arts Horizons students, a special performance by Joshua Bell, and a musical tribute to Celeste Holm performed by her husband, Frank Basile.
