MARCO Promotional Products, a marketing and promotional product company, is making a significant effort to increase the importance of suicide prevention by offering awareness wallet cards to the public at no charge.
When Dick Nelson, chief executive officer at MARCO Promotional Products, learned about a neighborhood child committing suicide and after doing extensive research on the subject matter, he felt compelled to increase awareness of suicide prevention.
“We often encourage our staff and business partners to get involved with their community organizations and charities,” says Nelson. “Learning about the child committing suicide affected many of us at MARCO. We immediately initiated a plan to help educate the public about suicide prevention. The awareness wallet card was the ideal solution.”
Schools, religious institutions, businesses and other organizations looking to increase awareness and educate the public about suicide warning signs and prevention methods can easily order the wallet cards online. The front side of the card provides the National Suicide Lifeline toll-free number. The backside of the card has a list of warning signs of suicide.
“It’s the company’s intention to alert and educate the public about suicide prevention quickly and efficiently,” says Nelson. “Our goal is to reach 1,000 orders by the end of September.”
Anyone with a mailing address within the United States can order up to 250 cards at no charge. To help advance MARCO’s goal of 1,000 orders by Sept. 30th, they ask for public participation by sharing this offer with family and friends on their social media networks.
