420 College – Los Angeles Ban Will Not Take Effect

Marijuana Training Institute, 420 College, will be hosting it’s latest seminar in Los Angeles, California after learning the ban on dispensaries will not take effect.

Students who register are invited to spend two days with the 420 College team of cannabis experts at the Holiday Inn, in the 420 friendly setting in Pasadena, California.

On the eve of the latest federal crackdowns in Los Angeles, the LA medical marijuana patients have come together and gathered enough signatures to overturn the latest attempt by the city officials to impose a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles city. Ban on marijuana dispensaries is nothing new to patients in California. There has been a lot of opposition by authorities and ill informed people to deny rights and the will of the people who voted to pass proposition 215 in 1996. Cities and counties have been rushing to pass bans on dispensaries one after another. It almost makes you wonder if voters have any rights at all. Nevertheless, medical marijuana is law in California and is here to stay, so we have to find a way to deal with it. On the other hand you can’t blame the government for doing their job and opposing medical marijuana. Marijuana is still illegal under federal law, which has marijuana listed as a Schedule 1 drug, higher then cocaine and heroin, which are Schedule 2 drugs. But, there is no opposition against the medical marijuana patients themselves, who cultivate their medicine for their own personal use, the drive is against dispensaries. Many might think that dispensing marijuana as medicine is ok, it sounds legal. But, reading the California Attorney General Guidelines, on page 11 it states, “Although medical marijuana “dispensaries” have been operating in California for years, dispensaries, as such, are not recognized under the law. As noted above, the only recognized group entities are cooperatives and collectives”. So, is there any wonder why the opposition against “dispensaries”? Why are cities and counties rushing to ban “dispensaries”? Because they are illegal! They are not a recognized entity. Just like in any other industry, there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things. Unfortunately for the marijuana industry, there are only a few like 420 College who are following the guidelines. They are the exception and not the rule. If someone was to do research on how to start a dispensary, they will find countless videos on Youtube and all over the web giving free information on how to start a marijuana “dispensary”. Most of the information is from people who don’t know the right way of operating themselves. Passing out the wrong information is like spreading a virus, so the trend continues.

Marijuana patient is the only one left out in the cold. If a person has an illness that their doctor recommended them to use marijuana as remedy for their condition, that person can cultivate their own marijuana themselves. What if that person is in handicapped or does not have the means to cultivate themselves? What would that person do? If the safe outlet, a collective for marijuana, is being banned from their area, they cannot treat their condition. The treatment method is not available, so they are forced to use pharmaceuticals. Medical marijuana patients are the real loosers when medical marijuana is banned from their area. Most patients are either too scared or just will not deal with thugs on the street to get their medicine, but that is what they are being forced to do. Well, the medical marijuana patient has won in the case of the Los Angeles ban. That ban that the city council wanted to impose will not happen and marijuana educators like 420 College will teach how to properly organize a collective for marijuana.

The seminar, to be held October 27th & 28th, is to focus on medical marijuana business compliance and cultivation, and to reinforce 420 College’s primary goal of making the cannabis industry safe for patients. While medical marijuana is a unwanted industry in the state of California, it does generate revenue for the state in the form of taxing. There are many twists and turns to operating legitimately, which often change depending on locality. Such issues as location, regulation, licenses, taxation, transport, and other in-depth topics will be addressed by attorneys. An extended coverage of cultivation is needed for patients who live to far from the next closest collective, which might be 100 miles away. These patients need to know how to produce medicine for themselves. From the ground up, the growing process and its subsequent guidelines need to be addressed and discussed at length, by experienced professionals. 420 College hopes to provide tools for a safe and successful venture.
