The Chestnut Hotel, a new upscale boutique hotel property located in the heart of Morgantown, West Virginia is in the final stages of preparation as it plans to open its doors to guests this Summer 2013. The property is being developed by Manhattan Place, LLC.
The 41-room boutique hotel offers a stylish and contemporary base for visitors to explore the city’s unique mix of dining, nightlife and events. Located within walking distance to the main campus of West Virginia University, the Chestnut Hotel makes an ideal location for students and parents visiting the University as well as those visiting Morgantown for business.
“The Chestnut Hotel will be Morgantown’s only true boutique-style hotel” says Kevin Wilkey, CEO Lush Hospitality Group, who has worked with the ownership group since they broke-ground to help them develop the concept and style of the hotel operations that they envisioned.
“Our goal was to create something stylish and comfortable, but also convenient and attentive for our guests,” says Joe Panico, who leads the ownership group for Manhattan Place, LLC. “From the unique décor in every room, down to the smallest amenities, we have tried to anticipate what our guests will want and expect from their stay with us.”
The Chestnut Hotel will provide customers with a choice of accommodations ranging from Comfortable Standard Rooms to Fabulous Corner Suites, all uniquely designed and decorated with no two-rooms being identical. The hotel property offers a fitness center, self-service business center, valet parking, and a small intimiate lobby wine bar.
Located adjacent to the Chestnut Hotel is the newly developed 341 Live Entertainment District, offering guests easy access to the cities best venues for dining, cocktails, and live entertainment.
“All registered guests at The Chestnut Hotel will have VIP access to all venues within the 341 Live Entertainment District” adds Panico. “This includes first-availability reservations for dining, no waiting in line for the nightlife venues, plus advance purchase opportunities for upcoming events and concerts.”
The Chestnut is the first of two planned hotel properties from Manhattan Place, LLC, which is also in development on a multi-use project in Morgantown that will include a stylish extended stay concept conveniently located in the Sunnyside part of the city.
