The woman died at the scene.
Police say the woman is believed to have been deceased prior to being struck by the on-duty Fort Worth police officer’s vehicle and several others that subsequently hit her.
The Dallas car accident lawyers of 1-800-Car-Wreck say this incident is a powerful example of the dangers that await pedestrians who attempt to cross roadways in heavy traffic. Freeways are not safe areas to walk for pedestrians as there are no stop signs or crosswalks that would facilitate individuals being able to safely navigate these areas on foot. It is never a safe idea to attempt to cross a busy freeway, say the attorneys.
For pedestrians who are injured in accidents caused by the negligence or misconduct of drivers, there may be valid grounds for them to file a personal injury claim for the recovery of medical expenses and other damages. Speaking with an attorney about one’s legal options is often in the best interest of those involved in pedestrian accidents.
