The Thai Military Technology Center, under the supervision of the Royal Thai Army, organized the Thai–USA Cyber Security: Subject Master Expert Exchange meeting at the Royal Thai Army headquarters that took place on February 25–27, 2014.
There were 40 people at this meeting: experts from the major departments of the Royal Thai Army, such as the Department of the Royal Thai Army Members, Royal Thai Army Education Ministry, Royal Thai Army Area Commander team, Royal Thai Army Cyber Institution, representatives from the Royal Thai Army headquarters, and a cyber-expert team from the U.S. Army.
This meeting was the sequel of the Executive Steering Group (ESG) meeting from May 2013 regarding the military cooperation of the Royal Thai Army and the U.S. Army. It was agreed that the Thai–USA Cyber Security: Subject Master Expert Exchange meeting should be organized.
It is the beginning of cooperation between the Royal Thai Army and the friendly locals’ army to contribute to cyber war preparation and cyber security.
The meeting’s major issue was the knowledge exchange necessary for strengthening the knowledge, skills, and experience of. In order to contribute to the pursuit of mutual cooperation in various aspects, such as information assurance training, certification and accreditation, defensive cyber operations, incident response, and the DOTMLPF system what it mean doctrine, organization, training, material, readership, education, personnel and facilities etc.
Moreover, the Thai–USA Cyber Security: Subject Master Expert Exchange meeting was also comprised of a consideration, discussion, and exchange of ideas that are shared on the network operation framework (NetOps ) and comprise situational awareness (SA), command and control (C2), future coordination, and army co-operations.
