Real Green Building Systems (RGBS), consultants in affordable energy and water conservation for the homebuilding industry, offers a return on investment sooner than expected, according to Steven R. Booth Ph.D., with Los Alamos National Laboratories (LANL.)
In his recently published “Sensitivity Analysis of Real Green Building Systems, LLC Technologies,” Dr. Steven Booth of LANL follows up with his “Business Case Analysis of Real Green Building Systems LLC Technologies”, with results of the actual application of his theoretical economic analysis described in his award-winning study, conducted in late 2013.
This Sensitivity Analysis applies Booth’s working matrix to real costs, which confirms that 100% percent of the time, it is economically feasible to build homes, utilizing the RGBS technologies anywhere in the United States. This includes low-income to luxury homes, built in any climate. The study further breaks down the payback of individual components of the RGBS technologies. In Booth’s original business case study, the return on investment for homes integrating the complete RGBS package was eight years, with a 30-year payout of $30,000 to the homeowner. The Sensitivity Analysis further supports Booth’s earlier findings, demonstrating that the return on investment for the complete integrated technologies is five years, total with a 30-year payout of $38,000 to the homeowner.
