SphereWMS will be attending the 2014 IWLA Technology & Operations Solutions for Warehousing Conference in November, in an effort to bring back strategy and innovation to their leading WMS teams in Denver, Colorado and Los Angeles, California.
The conference, which is to take place from November 12-14 in Rosemont, Illinois, is designed to bring topnotch warehouse technology and operations professionals together with the best warehouse suppliers for education and networking. The conference will explore new technologies and software and discuss efficient operations strategies to implement in warehouse logistics organizations.
The event is intended for everyone in the warehouse management industry who uses or oversees technology systems and operations functions. According to IWLA, the conference is specifically designed for operations and IT managers, directors, warehouse managers, and other emerging leaders, and will create an environment for discussion, education, and networking.
Touching on the importance of the event Mike Mullane, CEO of SphereWMS, said, “I foresee the conference to be an excellent opportunity to learn the latest in efficient operations strategies and expand business opportunities for SphereWMS. It will give us a chance to leverage our existing partnerships and increase our visibility by generating new leads.”
SphereWMS (www.spherewms.com) is a leading provider of warehouse management solutions (WMS) to 3PL’s, distributors, and warehouse operators. The SphereWMS warehouse management solution simplifies the management of complex order and inventory business processes, making it easy for warehouse operators to manage multi-client and multi-site warehouse operations and manage the flow of information between trading partners, suppliers, and carriers throughout all logistics processes. By providing warehouse management solutions designed specifically for the way logistics providers work, SphereWMS helps its customers improve efficiency, compete more effectively, improve top and bottom lines, and provide better visibility and service to customers.
Since the late 1800s, IWLA has been serving warehouse logistics organizations. The American Warehousemen’s Association, founded late in the 19th century, represented warehouse operators’ interests primarily in their work with railroads. AWA was a founding member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. As warehouse logistics matured, so did the association, becoming the American Warehouse Association and then the International Warehouse Logistics Association. IWLA is a result of the 1997 merger between the then nearly 80-year-old Canadian Association of Warehousing and Distribution Services (CAWDS) with the American Warehouse Association (AWA). IWLA headquarters has always been in the Chicago area, now in Des Plaines, Ill.
