The two new blogs titled “Addiction Recovery Is A Marathon Not A Sprint,” and “Pennsylvania Is Leading The Nation Fighting The Opioid Crisis,” are intended to encourage people with addiction problems to reach out and get the help they need. Taking the first step to overcome a substance use disorder can be one of the most difficult decisions a person will ever make. Life of Purpose wants to make sure that people needing the help understand that the treatment they need is within reach. Life of Purpose is also committed to supporting the recovery process long-term, which is why they make a point of providing information about the entire recovery journey on their website.
“We help people through the entire addiction recovery process, which includes the times further down the road when the motivation to stay free of substance use isn’t as strong as it was when first receiving treatment,” added Kassar. “A person who has already been through recovery once might be hesitant to reach out a second time. We want them to know that what they’re feeling is completely normal and that we’re here to help them stay on the path to recovery.”
