Time – destructive of youth; milk spoiler; the oldest and deadliest enemy of mankind. However, we can easily conquer time in films: going back and forth, jumping into the future or the past with a simple editing. Filmmakers travel constantly through time, so it’s no coincidence that there are so many films that turn this plot into a truffle plot.
But unfortunately, the protagonists, the best time travel movies, show us that time imprisonment is inevitable. Even when these protagonists seem to have found a way out, from natural holes to heretical machines, it is often shown that their fates are predetermined: they are often stuck in the loops of time or simply left dead. The 28-minute film is a simple but fascinating series of black-and-white photographs taken from a foggy narrative. He became Terry Gilliam 12 Monkeys, A crazy and colorful chapel starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt, a similarly weird film but tonally different.
Arrival
This modern science fiction classic follows a strange “arrival” inscribed in giant, peaceful and inked squid. Before the geopolitical clashes escalate the nuclear exchange situation, Amy Adams will have to translate the inky requests for squid into English American. (Spoiler: It relates to time travel.) Marmot Day
A classic that features Bill Murray at his best. Murray plays a funny journalist who wakes up one morning when Groundhog Day is wrapped in a time loop (and, yes, that’s where the term comes from). Fear gives way to joy as he realizes that he is now a wise god. This gives way to boredom as he lives several times a day, and Murray needs to know why they have cursed him. Still a moving and thoughtful comedy.
First
This is a time travel movie to overcome them all, if you really want to travel through time. Two engineers have unexpectedly discovered the side effect of the “AB” causal loop: they can basically go back a short span of time and start using it to make large sums of money on the stock market. Below, the implications of time travel are highly technical and philosophical.
Looper
Looper it’s a fantastic and tight action film: an engaging world, sketched in just two hours, with fun and interesting characters. Joseph Gordon Levitt plays a contract killer who kills and eliminates his targets in the past in order to avoid detection in the future. Bruce Willis plays his eldest head, who is responsible for killing Levitt. Being a realistic aspect of time travel doesn’t really make sense in the film: it was directly contrasted by writer Rian Johnson First, where the rules of time travel are so important; Looper instead it was thought of as a character-driven thriller.
Your name
One of the most animated films of all time, Your name it’s a little empty, but definitely wonderful entertainment. The two kids at school exchange bodies every night, rumbles that destroy each other’s lives and then fall in love. They must fight with time to save a town from an apocalyptic catastrophe. The animation is wonderful, pictorial and light, the music of Radwimps is great pop ear worm and the story is real leather.
The star
A place where time travels Base year, in particular, remained unexplained The star Nolan seems to have an interest in teaching his audience, and he does an admirable job of depicting some of the implications of Einsteins ’theory of general relativity. The dialogue in the film may be saccharine and hopeful, but visiting the planet of the mountain waves, where the years go by as minutes go by, is just a great part of the movie, well worth the price of admission.
Donnie Darko
A cult classic that earned Jake Gyllenhaal a huge reputation. It’s one of those high-concept films that bombards you with habit, but it’s not as intelligent as he thinks. It’s best to sit back and let yourself wash your head, Frank, of course, the iconic black rabbit rabbit who tells Gyllenhaali that the world will end in 28 days. It is also an important artifact in a particular section of the Millennium Culture: A Gen Z cultural critic trying to understand the millennial neuroses should add this film to his research.
Planet of the Apes
Original Planet of the Apes it’s a weird movie. There’s something disturbing about monkeys: the makeup techniques of artist John Chambers ’prosthesis were revolutionary at the time. But while Andy Serkis ’background certainly includes more action, the original needs to make the list because it has the most expressive“ twist ”for traveling through film time.
