Negotiations for a fight between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield have been reported stalled. Multiple members of Evander Holyfield’s team have recently said that Mike Tyson rejected an offer of $ 25 million for a fight against Holyfield that would take place on May 29 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. According to ESPN.

“We thought it was a deal, but it quickly fell apart when Tyson’s people turned down all offers,” Holyfield director Kris Lawrence said in a statement Monday. “We’ve been trading in good faith all along and it looks like we’ve ended up wasting time.”

Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match in November 2020. Tyson vs. Holyfield rumors of a potential event began after that.

It looks like a potential Tyson-Holyfield fight would be a natural one for Triller, Tyson-Jones Jr. he struggled with the promotion company. But Tyson threw it down posted on his Instagram page on Saturday in which he said he would “never” work with Triller again.

“To be clear, there’s no Tyson Triller fight,” Tyson wrote. “I don’t know any Triller executives personally. I don’t have an agreement with Triller or a senior representative for the next event. I’m a member of the Legends Only League and my next event is with my league.

“I will never do another event or business with Triller, so anyone who falsifies that they own the rights to my name or the next event is not true. I am not with the Triller’s Fight Club team or I will not be.”

Tyson and Holyfield had an iconic rivalry in the 1990s. Holyfield won its first fight in November 1996 through an 11th round TKO. In the June 1997 rematch, Tyson was disqualified in the 4th round after biting Holyfield’s ear twice.
