NFL legend Frank Gore made his boxing debut Saturday against another newcomer to the sport, former NBA All-Star Deron Williams. And while Gore was getting used to his relationship for 16 years NFL, he quickly learned that the physical demands of martial arts are quite different.

Williams threw a hard right fist at Gore’s head in the middle of the fight, giving Gore this hilarious and confusing reaction.

The former San Francisco 49ers big Gore pulled back from the hole to go four laps away, but Williams won by split decision. After the fight, Gore explained how everything went.

“I let him hit me and I didn’t back down,” Gore said after the Showtime fight. “I’m still learning, but that’s it. Get out, fight hard and get Wa.”

Williams – twice All-NBA He played for the Utah Jazz, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers in his 14-year NBA career – he said Saturday’s fight was the last of his career. A former Texas state fighter, Williams admitted he wanted to prove he could withstand the harshness of the ring.

Gore, on the other hand, does not rule out the return of boxing.

“We’ll see,” said Gore, a five-time Pro Bowler and member of the 2010 All-Decade team, about the potential return. “I had a great night. I’ll come back and talk to my team and see what I have to learn.”

Post-drill facial expressions should be on Gore’s list.
