Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire are on a collision course once more.

Inoue and Donaire are returning to the site of their consensus 2019 Fight of the Year for a title unification rematch. Inoue Vs. Donaire is scheduled to headline the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on June 7. Inoue confirmed the bout on social media. Inoue indicated the bout would be available on Prime Video, but it is unclear yet where the fight will air.

Inoue will put his WBA (super), IBF and The Ring bantamweight titles against Donaire’s WBC bantamweight title. The winner will be in possession of three of the four recognized titles at bantamweight with the exception of John Riel Casimero’s WBO bantamweight crown.

The two champions met in the bantamweight finals of the World Boxing Super Series on Nov. 7, 2019. Inoue entered their first fight as the IBF and The Ring bantamweight champion. Donaire was the defending WBA (super) bantamweight champion. Both boxers displayed indomitable spirits over 12 hard rounds. Inoue ultimately emerged victorious via unanimous decision (116–111, 117–109 and 114–113), laying claim to all three titles.

Inoue (22-0, 19 KOs) scored consecutive knockouts over Jason Moloney, Michael Dasmarinas and Aran Dipaen in the time since he stripped Donaire of the WBA (super) bantamweight title. Donaire (42-6) bounced back with back-to-back fourth-round knockouts of Nordine Oubaali and Reymart Gaballo.
