Simone Biles has come out of the Individual Final

Simone Biles walked away from the final of the women’s individual gymnastics at the Toy Olympics on Wednesday, again citing her mental health.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in America, too he was left out of the team finals on Tuesday due to mental health after an early fight in the vault.

Biles finished first in the individual general event and was a favorite to take home multiple gold medals at the Olympics.

But on Wednesday, the US gym announced Biles also withdrew from the individual general competition “so that he could focus on his mental health.”

“We wholeheartedly support Simon’s decision and applaud his courage in prioritizing his well-being,” USA Gymnastics said in a statement. “His courage shows, once again, why he is such a role model.”

News of Biles ’retirement follows the dramatic evolution of events in Tuesday’s team finals as the 24-year-old emerged from the middle of the competition after his first round.

Biles would complete four rotations for the U.S. team in the final, but appeared shaken as he climbed the vault, which is usually one of his best events. He seemed to be rescued at the last second, made 1.5 turns instead of 2.5, and landed with a big correction. the vault scored 13,766, a tremendous below average score of 16,050 for the same event at the previous Olympics, and the lowest rotational score.

Biles then left the competition floor to return to the sidelines to help the rest of the competition teammates, who had won the silver medal.

He later told reporters that he didn’t feel well in that build-up, and that he backed down, “because he didn’t want to risk a medal for the team because of my misfortunes, because they worked so hard for it.”

“I was shaking, I could barely take a nap,” Biles added. “I never felt like going to a competition like that.”

The day before the team final, Biles had it he told his followers on Instagram That he felt the “weight of the world” on his shoulder.

Biles will “continue to evaluate on a daily basis,” USA Gymnastics said, to see if it can compete in individual events next week.
