Earlier in the fourth day of Sunday’s match, Ashwin tied Harbhajan’s number with Will Young’s wicket.

Legendary leg player Anil Kumble leads the Indian wicket narrative in the Test with 619 wickets, followed by Kapil Dev 434.

The off spinner also became the fifth wicket-taker in the format among spinners, and is behind Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath, fourth on the list with 433 wickets.
