New Zealand left-handed spinner Mitchell Santner and his spin-off colleagues are eager to make the ball on friendly tracks in the Test series against India.

‘Tough challenge’
Santner is well aware of India’s tough challenges as he quickly recalled his 2016-17 tour of New Zealand when he suffered a 3-0 goal-scoring streak in the start of the Kanpur Test. He later lost the five-game ODI series 3-2.
“No matter what format you play against India, it’s a tough challenge to overcome. We saw that in 2016. ”
Santner joined as captain the third and final T20 of the series here in the gardens of Eden on Sunday. “It’s been a quick turnaround from the World Cup. But we are proud to show up and play good cricket against a very good team from India and win a series.
‘Good on patches’
“It’s hard to do and once again they showed that it’s a tough challenge to come to India and play a very good side. We did well in the patches. ”
