WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo was picked up by San Antonio police on Wednesday morning after being given numerous burglary orders.

The guarantees arose in an incident on July 16th. Police were called to a Privat Martini bar and social club where Charles attacked a waitress and took the woman’s waitress’s book, stealing advice in the process. The situation allegedly began when Charles refused his credit card when he tried to pay for his card, accusing Charles of trying to steal the credit card from the server.

The incident happened a day earlier when Charlo’s twin brother Jermell defended his WBA, WBC and IBF junior middleweight Brian Castaño at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Charlo is 32-0 and is one of the top wrestlers in the sport, having held the WBC middleweight title since June 2019 and was also his IBF junior middleweight champion with his brother.

Jermall Charles’ attorney, Kent A. Schaffer, has issued a notice to KSAT After ABC members reported the incident:

“I represent Jermall Charlo and have just seen the story of his case. I want to make it clear that Jermall did not steal money from anyone at the club and did not threaten anyone. to ask if he did. ”He said yes and was told to resubmit the charge. The waiter went to run again and came back saying he couldn’t find the card.Jermall was angry that his Card was missing because it was a debit card linked to an account with a large amount of money. The server took it out of his license wallet and took the license saying he didn’t want it either.

By then, as many club employees were gathering in the hallway, Jermall officials wanted to get him out of the club before the trouble started and a club employee pulled Jermall out of his car. A few hours later, Jermall’s assistant contacted the club to provide another credit card number, but the club refused. In recent weeks, we have spoken to police, prosecutors and the club owner and although the club owner has expressed a desire to step down, the officer has insisted on presenting the charges to try to embarrass Jermall. He never stole from anyone or took any of his property. “
