T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final: Pakistan favorite against Australia hunger

[ad_1]

Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer, one of Australia’s strongest starters in Test cricket, will meet in different colors on Thursday for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in Dubai.

Hayden, in his first job as coach of the Pakistan cricket team, hopes to win against Australia, coached by Langer.

Being the only undefeated team in the tournament, Hayden will expect his boys to keep fit.

Moreover, the semi-final can be presented as a fabric for Australia’s first tour of Pakistan in 2422 after 24 years.

Spiners ’struggle can be a deciding factor. Adam Zampa has been a revelation for Australia, being the tallest kidney receiver with 11 scalps in the Super 12 stage. On the contrary, despite their ability to drown the batsmen, neither Shadab Khan nor Imad Wasim have been consistently among the wickets.

If Zampa rotates his net to keep Pakistan’s central order – made up of Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali and Mohammad Hafeez – calm, Australia will have a chance to shine in the biggest stage of the short format.
