Video Length 24 minutes 00 seconds

By: Risking everything

One truck driver was handing out ballot boxes, another was carrying dynamite, and two priests were on motorbikes, all on Nicaraguan highways.

This film follows three very different missions on Nicaraguan roads.

Heiner is the truck driver who delivers ballot papers and election staff to remote towns for local elections. Failure to do so would result in 90 days in jail. But his truck is old and the roads are often impassable.

Meanwhile, Hilario has to transport seven and a half tons of dynamite and detonators more than 400 kilometers (248 miles) from Managua on the rugged roads to the Bonanza gold mining town. But it also needs a security escort to deal with armed groups that want to target its cargo. And he has to get to Bonanza before the river clears the last bridge to the village.

And finally, the two evangelical priests want to grow their ordinary but declining congregation. They need to get their message across to other towns and villages, and generate more revenue through church donations. They test their faith on a rented motorbike while trying to make the arduous journey to their knees on muddy and watery roads.
