Openers Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique put Pakistan ahead of the victory in Bangladesh

Openers Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique each hit fifty undefeated players in a key position in Pakistan in their first test against Bangladesh in Chittagong on Monday. He set a goal of 202, the visitor won 109-0 on motorcycles and only needs 93 runs on Tuesday in the final day.

Ali was batting at 56 at the end of the day’s game, adding a 133 in his first inning, while debutant Shafique was without a 53-game win.

Fastball player Shaheen Afridi claimed 5-32 despite Pakistan struggling to beat Bangladesh in the second inning for 157 runs in a 50 wicketkeeper-batsman fight with Liton Das.
