Football players and fans take to social media to post their wishes for the Danish midfielder’s recovery after falling in the 2020 Euro Cup match.
Surprised football players and fans flooded social media after sending their wishes to Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen he fell on the field in his country’s Euro 2020 match in Finland.
The 29-year-old suddenly fell to the ground in the 42nd minute of Saturday’s match as he walked near the left line of Copenhagen Park Stadium. He was revived by medical staff and then taken to hospital.
UEFA, the league’s governing body, said Eriks was in a “stable state” and that the Danish football federation was awake. The match started again at 18:30.
Earlier, the dramatic scenes instantly brought about an immediate shock, with about 15,000 fans falling into silence. Some fans could be seen crying and hugging in the stands before the shouts of Eriks ’name were met by fans of both teams in the Park.
There was a huge uproar among all the fans when the stadium announcers said in a video screen statement that Eriks was “stable and awake”.

Later on Saturday, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scored when his country took over Russia and celebrated by running straight to the TV camera and saying “I love you” to Eriksen. Both are members of the Italian club Inter Milan.
