According to a medical association, more than a dozen fully vaccinated doctors have died as a result of Indonesian COVID-19 as the Southeast Asian country struggles with serious cases of inoculated medical staff and infectious strains of new viruses.

Dozens of communities in the Kudus regency in central Java were blocked after Delta variants were detected in samples from local tests, causing a sudden rise in virus cases.

The official has been in quarantine for 10 days after being positive when he arrived in the Sicilian port of Catania, while officials around the world were calling for some G20 ministry meetings.
