Batsman Daryl Mitchell will replace injured Devon Conway in the New Zealand team for a series of tests against India this month, the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) said on Sunday.
Conway broke his hand when New Zealand defeated England to reach the 2021 T20 World Cup final.

“It’s a shame for Devon to miss the first series of the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, but it also offers someone else a chance,” coach Gary Stead said.
“Daryl’s versatility means he can fill a lot of batting positions and he certainly has a lot of confidence at the moment. He has proven that he can play Test cricket and I know he is excited to rejoin the Test team,” Stead added.
The two Test series against New Zealand will start in Kanpur on November 25th and the second test will start in Mumbai on December 3rd.
