US chief of staff says Russian activity near Ukraine is worrying Military news

Army General Mark Milley says the Russian military is moving around the country long enough to create “great concern.”

The U.S. is following enough indicators and warnings about Russian military activity near Ukraine to raise “a lot of concerns” and Russia’s top rhetoric is becoming increasingly harsh, the top U.S. military said.

Army Secretary-General Mark Milley, the president of the United States, did not want to speculate on Thursday about the options the U.S. could consider in the event of a Russian invasion.

But Milley stressed the importance of Ukraine’s sovereignty for Washington and the NATO alliance.
