NEW YORK / LONDON (Reuters) – The global stock market soared and oil prices rose on Tuesday, with the Omicron COVID-19 variant believing it would not cause much economic damage, while a one-off stimulus from China helped spark the rally.

The Nasdaq rose 3% as technology stocks fell, helping the European major companies’ index to a first-round gain of more than 1% since February.

Shares of technology rose by 5.3% in Europe, while the information technology sector rose by 3.3% to more than 2%. All S&P sectors were higher.

Asia has bounced back from the night with some of China’s top tech giants, including e-commerce giants. Alibaba (NYSE 🙂 Group and other major technologies, including JD (NASDAQ :). Com Inc. and Baidu Inc. (NASDAQ :).

Investors have decided on Omicron and believe it will prevent another major economic shock, said market analyst Fawad Razaqzada of ThinkMarkets.

“After careful consideration, they believe that it is probably no more dangerous than the Delta variant of coronavirus and that the preventive blockages and restrictions we have seen will soon be alleviated,” Razaqzada said in a statement.

In the latest news on Coronavirus, European health agencies have recommended mixing and matching COVID-19 vaccines, both for initial shots and booster doses, as the region faces more and more cases before Christmas.

The MSCI nationwide index rose 2.20% and the FTSEurofirst 300 rose 2.43%.

Wall Street was up 1.67%, the S&P 500 was up 2.22% and the uptrend was 2.95%.
