New Korea’s November plant output has risen, Reuters has exceeded expectations

SEOUL (Reuters) – The South Korean plant far exceeded expectations for strong car and chip exports in November, government figures showed on Thursday.

Industrial production rose by 5.1% seasonally adjusted last month since October, surpassing the average gain of 2.5% in the Reuters poll, which saw car production rise by 11.3%.

Production rose by 5.9% year-on-year and exceeded the 3.2% growth forecast in the survey.
