Aung San Suu Kyi was jailed for another four years after being convicted of other charges last month.

A Myanmar military-led court has convicted civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who was ousted in a coup last February, of at least three counts and sentenced to another four years in prison.

The 76-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner was arrested by the military when he took control of the country almost a year ago, and has received nearly a dozen charges, according to critics, for political reasons.

He was sentenced to two years in prison for having unlicensed walkie-talkies and a two-year sentence for violating the limits of coronavirus, according to legal sources.

Aung San Suu Kyi is on trial in a closed court and the charges carry prison sentences of more than 100 years.
