U.S. authorities see a face-to-face meeting between Putin and Biden next week as a way to move away from what they believe are the works being carried out by former President Trump to Putin.
Russian officials told Reuters that the summit was seen as an opportunity to be heard live by Biden after a source close to the Russian government took office on January 20 after saying they were mixed messages from the U.S. administration.
Asked about calling Biden the killer in an interview with NBC in March, Putin said he had heard dozens of such allegations. “This is not something that at least worries me,” Putin said.
